Heading northbound meant many things such as cross the creek a second time, climbing massive granite steps and ascending most of the way towards Rubicon Point. Sometimes I find it easier to ascend rather then descend as footing seems to be a little better. The great thing about the ascension is that the sun was behind the clouds so it allowed me also to do allot of beautiful photography of Lake Tahoe and other picturesque geological landmarks in the region. What goes down must come up just as what must go up must come down this trail is full of elevation changes.
