Emerald Point nearly separated the bay from Lake Tahoe. In this area I am literally standing out in the middle of a body of water its very exhilarating considering that I am surrounded 360 degrees by cliffs and mountains at about 6,200' above sea level. By being on the point there are plenty of sea gulls, geese and sometimes Ospreys one can observe. But it also really puts this regions size into perspective therefore mission complete. This is where we would have our lunch at it was rather serene and very private.
