On October 11-12, 2014, the Athens-Clarke County Public Information Office and the Morton Theatre staff brought in a team from Ghosts of Georgia Paranormal Investigations to investigate strange occurrences that have been reported by numerous people throughout the building's history.

The Public Information Office and a videographer documented the overnight investigation. Athens Ghost Hunt: The Morton Theatre, follows the team as they look for evidence of paranormal activity.
