This is the largest cave found at Cave Rock besides the underwater cavern that divers have found in Lake Tahoe. More then often boaters passing by will see the Lady Of The Lake who peers from this very cave from the darkness. Whether its a legend or their is some truth to it I can only speculate. At one time medicine men and Shamans performed rituals in this cave however today all that is found is feathers and bird droppings from within. In order to hike out of the cave I have to go back out onto the road where you can view the tunnels that were blasted when the Lincoln Hwy was created.
