Honestly we lost site of the trail not sure what went wrong maybe we became side tracked with scenic views and meadows of wild flowers. But we ended up in an area full of rocks the size of trucks and all we could do is seen the Carson Pass far below but no path. We would have to rock scramble, climb, meander through small meadows etc to find our way onto the Pacific Crest Trail. Although we could have descended off this vista point down to the past at the time we were lost in trying to find the trail itself. Things out in the sierras can take a turn very quickly if you do not keep your cool. This area we discovered was like a lost world for primates allot of rocks, trees and places for something to hide unseen.
