The passenger elevators of the abandoned sanatorium and former hotel Xenia at mountain Parnitha, Athens, Greece
The first wing was constructed in 1916 but since there were many victims of tuberculosis they decided to build more wings. The sanatorium stopped its operation at late 50's and the building was bought by the Greek National Organization of Tourism. After almost 10 years they decided to use the building as a school of tourism during the winters but finally they abandoned the building. Soon after the scavengers ripped of almost everything. Its a dangerous place to visit since there are broken floors, broken glass, walls, staircases and safety railings are missing. Moreover there are several ghost stories about this building.
In comparison it's the Waverly Hills sanatorium of Greece, the same purpose, the same acts the only difference it's the size which I believe is the one third of Waverly's.
