This in an in depth tour of the main town site which sat 70 years submerged under the depths of Folsom Lake. In this very nice piece I talk about the history of the town which had 7 saloons, school, 4 hotels, Dairy Farm, Winery, five merchandise stores, various shops, 3 dry good stores and an express office. The town went from nearly 3000 strong to a few dwindling residents due to a fire burning it down on Mormon Island. Many residents including miners were buried in various settlements during the dam project some of the graves were left to be submerged which is a dark truth. Prior to the Folsom Lake area becoming more urban it did receive some attention from Bigfoot who would come down from the high sierras to gather food here.
