At one time this entire dry lake bed was all woods it was the heart of where Bigfoot country use to be. These creatures would come down from the high sierras from the upper American Rivers to perhaps hunt or gather food. When the miners came in they chopped all the forest down and these low waters are creating land bridges to other hills.
