Today the hall is used for parties and cultural events however back in the day this area may have been used as a study hall. It also may have been used for recreational purposes as the kids played tag, jacks and even marbles. Its a large area filled with light and peace. I also found that the principals office did also connection to the Great Hall just as another door lead to the the main hall.
