First you seen the high desert now you are getting to see the lush very unique Toiyabe National Forest. Many of the rocks are stacked from years of erosion, weathering and glacier movement from the last ice age. The forest is very thick that is because the lumbering came to an end in the later 1800's leaving behind 2nd and 3rd generation alpine trees. We are now journeying in the sierras and entering a bold new world leaving behind the high desert. Where will we go next and what will we find? Our journey would take us another few miles as we would head to the Hobart and eventually The Red House.
