The Mausoleum is surrounded by many family plots which are then seperated by brick walls. In nearly each family plot we also found various statues some covered up by shrubs others weathered from the elements. On the front of the mausoleum is a massive mural made within the marble of a man by the name of Clark sitting on his horse with a cowboy hat on. This really was what the wild west was about riding horses into the sunset. Just standing at the mausoleum we experienced a beautiful sunset as the pine nut mtns.looked orange pink and while the sun went behind the sierras. Clark probably enjoyed many sunsets just like this in the Carson Valley!
