We came back on Easter that next year for a 2nd expedition most of the snow was now gone but it still was a brisk morning. This is a complete journey of our trek up to the top of the Virginia Range as we climbed above Virginia City, Gold Hill, Silver City, Washoe Valley and eventually we would come over a hill only to see two of the ranges tallest peaks Ophir Hill & Mount Davidson. We will take you high up on cliffs, along the old Truckee & Virginia Railroad route, past a historic pioneer cemetery and atop of the hills of one of Nevada's most unique mountain ranges. This is a stellar journey because we would have to find a feasible route to get to the top of the range and when we do the views are simply stellar.
