The sun is going behind the mountains to my west and we are in a race for time to reach the summit. From where I am standing to Round Top Peak is 1,200' I knew that I would be coming back to camp in the dark I was prepared for anything. My main goal is to reach the saddle so I can see on one side the Mokelumne Wilderness while the other side reveals the Eldorado National Forest. Both are equally beautiful and offbeat which is why they make good Bigfoot stomping grounds.
