The asvension would take us for nearly 500' into an open area they call Big Meadow. From Big Meadow you can chose to hike out to Lake Dardnelles, Meiss and Round lakes. I have been to them all even hiked over Red Peak to get to this region the basin is lush but to get there would require uphill endurance.
