Snag Lake is one of the many lakes found in the Lakes Basin bordering the edge of the Plumas National Forest it resides the northern most edge of the Tahoe National Forest. Known for its ruggedness many stumps are found peering out of the water. This short clip takes you along some of its primitive shoreline as I explore the possibility of Bigfoot roaming the wilderness which surrounds it. Its an easy lake to miss as its obscured by national forest and it does not get allot of visitors like other lakes in the region. The fishing is fairly decent here but its only stocked with 500 rainbow trout per year. This is definitely one of the better kept secrets near the sierra buttes. It was first sighted in 1849 during the gold rush before the miners settled at the nearby Gold Lake.
