After the cemetery we celebrated my birthday ahead of time by having some good eats and beers at Lassen Ale Works. Although Susanville is not that far from me between the drive and research we put into the cemetery going to the Lassen Ale Works was like entering the gates of heaven. Good times were to be had as we had breaded mushrooms, garlic Parmesan fries, Philly cheese steak and a variety of flavorful ales to wash it all down. Our journey was just getting started as we were heading out in the next couple of days to hit the Bizz Johnson Trail, Ash Creek Meadows, Subway Cave, McArthur Burney Falls and Cinder Cone in the Lassen Volcanic National Monument Park. We had a long journey ahead of us and the ale works was a great way to let loose talking about it with some ales. So if you do not mind me being the Anthony Bourdain of the Paranormal then carry on! The sampler I ordered is 40 oz of a variety of brews that being Bizz Johnson Blonde, Eagle Lake IPA, Uptown Brown Ale, Pioneer Porter, Volcanic Double IPA, Thompson Peak Pilsner, Devils Corral Imperial Stout and Almanor Amber. Kind of every beer drinking lovers dream and a great way to start off my birthday. So if you do not mind watching me get carried away with the beer and food then I highly recommend anyone visiting Susanville to party here. You can like them on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/lassenaleworks or visit there site at http://www.lassenaleworks.com/ crazy is as crazy does let the good times roll with your host Lord Rick founder of The Paranormal & Ghost Society! Btw the Ale Works is in the old Pioneer Saloon and came after the Humboldt Exchange utilized this historic building.
