I call this area Brick Hill which overshadows all of the industrial complex and the town of Thompson below. This very area is where the smelter stood there was also a very large brick smoke stack. Below this is the dump pile as copper ore was imported from the local mines on the line it was smelted here and then loaded onto the Copper Belt Railroad. Today the bricks are a reminder of early industry of the 20th century!
